Citadines Sukhumvit 16 Bangkok

It’s a good spot for a longer rental, and I liked the place enough to ask about staying longer myself. The rooms are large, with a kitchenette that has everything you need. The location is very handy, right in the heart of bkk but without the noise and chaos outside. There’s also an f45 gym nearby if that’s of interest. Recommended!

The room itself was clean, with working AC, a stiff but comfortable bed and two bottles of water each day. But the details let it down. The entrance to the floor smelled, the fridge ran constantly because it had no ventilation, and the windows and glass were dirty. Using European plugs with English outlets didn’t feel safe to me because there’s no protective earth. Breakfast wasn’t worth the money. The rooftop view doesn’t match the photos because bigger buildings have gone up around it, and the advertised balcony can’t be used since it holds the AC outdoor unit. There’s no smart TV either.

The rooms are neat and good, and Terminal 21 mall is within walking distance. Breakfast needs more variety, and much of the food was cold. It could be warmer and offer better choices. The pool is very cold and has no section for kids. There’s a small gym.

The staff were wonderful, friendly, professional and accommodating. We loved everyone there, and there wasn’t a thing that disappointed us. We’ll definitely stay again. The room photos on the hotel site matched what we saw. Our room was in great shape, clean, quiet and roomy, with a comfortable bed and a kitchenette stocked with cutlery. There was a decent mix of English news and TV shows on cable. The covered pool was long enough for laps, and the gym was neatly kept and well equipped. There are washers and dryers, a sitting area in the lobby with complimentary drinks, and enough covered parking by the lobby. The price matched the quality and service.
