Ekanek Hostel Bangkok - Adults Only

I only planned on one night, but stayed almost a week because it was so comfortable. The beds made for a really good sleep, and the whole hostel was clean and organized, with daily cleaning. The spot is great, near the BTS, restaurants, shops, 7 11, a running park, massage places, and lots more to do. For the price, it's the best value I found in all Bangkok. There's a cozy lobby with board games, a small kitchen with free coffee and tea, plus laundry and drying rooms. The AC always worked against the intense heat. The staff and owner were really friendly to me. Thai hospitality, and I definitely recommend staying here.

I used to recommend this place, but after two days the poor air quality caused a serious respiratory flare-up. You might not notice it on a one-night visit, but for a longer stay I think the lack of AC maintenance is dangerous. Another reviewer mentioned the same issue about a year ago, and it still hasn't been addressed. I had to leave for medical reasons, but they relied on the cancellation policy and tried to charge me for a full day instead of acknowledging their negligence. The receptionist spoke English perfectly well, then suddenly claimed not to understand when speaking with Agoda by phone about taking responsibility. It felt like a clear attempt to avoid accountability. Thanks to Agoda for stepping in and fixing it.

A small, sparkling-clean hostel that's quiet and relaxing, with not too many people around. The location is convenient and central in Bangkok, yet it's tucked away on a peaceful side street. Great for anyone after a quiet stay.

I had a great stay at Ekanek Hostel. It's clean, quiet, and well looked after, with friendly staff who are really helpful. Food markets, subway stations, and convenience stores are all nearby. Highly recommend.
