Gardengrove Suites

We’ve returned to Gardina Asoke for a second stay, and it’s easy to see why. The hotel is beautiful and spotless, and even the smell when you walk in is pleasant. Housekeeping comes daily and leaves the room feeling fresh, even tidying my messy makeup station. Everyone is welcoming, accommodating, and professional, with special thanks to Yo, Lin, and Joey. The amenities and nearby activities make the stay easy and relaxing. There’s a free tuk-tuk shuttle to both the BTS and MRT stations, a well-designed pool with a sauna, and a cozy little cafe open until midnight. The cafe staff are lovely too, especially Dardar. I highly recommend it and will come back every time I visit.

The pool is beautiful and relaxing, and there are different room types, so check the descriptions to pick what suits you. I’ve stayed here several times, and it’s become my favorite hotel in Bangkok. It really feels like home: the staff are always around, helpful, and welcoming with a smile. My room has always been spotless, quiet, and well maintained, with a very comfortable bed and excellent blackout curtains for sleeping well. I often saw the manager Sandy working hands-on day and night to keep things running smoothly. I always look forward to coming back.

It’s a modern boutique hotel with the facilities you need, and a pool that’s a good size for a busy city stay. After a long day out, it’s a proper place to unwind. There are also plenty of good food options nearby, including News Pizzazo across the road and El Mercado about a ten-minute walk away. The Asoke location near Sukhumvit makes a handy base for getting around Bangkok. Asok BTS and Sukhumvit MRT are about a 15-minute walk, or the complimentary tuk-tuk makes the trip easier. It’s easy to get places on foot, by train, or tuk-tuk. You’re close enough to Sukhumvit to enjoy it, while the hotel itself feels calm when you return. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, especially Yo and Tam, who went out of their way to make things welcoming and easy. I absolutely plan to stay again.

The only things that bothered me were a slight smoky smell in the room when I arrived, rather than a fresh or pleasant cleaning scent, and cold pool water, especially after swimming in the warm Thai sea. Still, I paid a little over 100€ per night and have no regrets. After backpacking in the south of Thailand, it was a delight to stay somewhere this comfortable and high-quality. I booked a pool-view room for a small extra charge and was glad I did. The green view helped me feel calm and away from the city stress. The outdoor pool, surrounded by plants, had a lovely jungle feel against Bangkok’s busy energy. The decor was warm and carefully considered, and the room was clean and perfectly prepared with towels, slippers, a safe, bathrobe, bathroom amenities, and more. The mattress was extremely comfortable, room service was efficient, and it felt like a real place to rest and reset. Staff were consistently kind, helpful, and smiling in a way that never felt forced. From arrival, someone took my luggage from the taxi, walked me to reception and then to my room, and opened the door. They also helped me book a taxi when Grab wasn’t available, and arranged a shared ride to the airport with another guest, which was thoughtful. Thank you, Yo. There’s an attached restaurant for when you’re too tired to go out, though Bangkok has such great food that I’d still explore when you have the energy.
