Go Inn Bangkok Rama3

I paid £220 for 3 weeks in a private bedroom with a bathroom. I wanted a non-touristy area, and this one suited me. There was a security door, the check-in instructions were clear and easy, and there was a washing machine on site for 20 baht. Nearby were a nice park with a free outdoor gym, plus plenty of street food, cafés and local places. The cleaning lady was very helpful when I spoke with her directly. The problems added up, though. The fridge had visible mold, and a broken window pane had been patched with cardboard. The room was much more run down than the photos and generally not clean. There were lots of ants and bugs when I arrived, so I had to buy and use insect killer myself. The bathroom leaked water into the bedroom, there was significant noise outside at night, and the broken window probably didn't help. Bring earplugs. The WiFi kept dropping, which made the TV pretty useless, and the soap and shower gel dispensers were full of watered-down liquid. “Clean” towels weren't clean either. Communication from the accommodation provider was extremely poor, especially when I raised issues by email and Booking.com messages. When I escalated them through Booking.com, the property denied them. It took almost 2 weeks, and me approaching the cleaner in person, to get the bin emptied and sheets changed. This was my worst accommodation experience in Thailand, even though it was my 4th trip here. I've been here 1.5 months this time and stayed at 5 other places, all significantly better. I wouldn't stay again. If I'd been given the option to shorten my stay and get a refund, I would have. Booking.com offered £10 compensation, which I declined.

The entrance was dirty and unwelcoming, and I found dead cockroaches there multiple times. There was mold in my room too. I wouldn't recommend it. You can find much better for this price, though perhaps not in this area.

The building is in terrible shape, and the rooms don't have sinks. They're generally ugly too. The savings aren't worth it.

It was a small, simple room, and the bathroom was clean. Self check-in was tedious, but bearable. The room was okay, and I definitely got my money's worth, though I wouldn't call it the best.
