Happy Inn Two

For what I pay, I've been very happy here. I'm a solo budget traveler and usually look for rooms under 800THB. I've walked in without booking on five different trips, and stayed in 10 rooms over those visits, about four weeks in total. It's hard to give the place a high rating because I almost want to keep this little option to myself, but my stays have mostly been positive despite some of the harsh reviews. The rooms vary a lot. Sometimes a 650THB room has been better than one for 850THB. A few smelled moldy or of cigarettes; some had great city views but were noisy from the busy street. I've had rooms with no mirror, one coat hanger, a loud air con or fridge, or no TV. The Wi-Fi has been acceptable in all the rooms I've used, though right now in the lobby it's painfully slow, haha. For a 2 star place at this price, I think a personal bathroom, even a tiny one, air con, fridge, decent bed, and a relatively clean room are good value. Duk and Jerry have always been helpful to me. I can see why people might find Duk rude, and I think it may be her Chinese background. I've found that if I'm polite and patient, the staff have been great and do what they can. They've let me look at and change rooms many times when one didn't suit me. They also don't generally clean daily, but when I've asked, they've helped with cleaning, fresh towels, or an extra pillow. One night, traffic kept me awake, and Jerry let me sleep in a spare room with a single bed without charging me. The location is amazing for the price if you're okay with a 15 minute walk to the green BTS line. There's a 7eleven right next door and Benchakitti park about a 10 minute walk south. The staff have been so patient and accommodating while I've moved rooms to find what works for me that I even felt I should buy them a gift this trip.
