Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit

The club lounge was the highlight for me. Breakfast and the afternoon or dinner food were really good, with most things cooked to order, quality fruit and vegetables, a full bar, and excellent espresso drinks. Service there was very good too. Hooray for Globalists! Reception, my room, and the lounge were all great, and the Hyatt Regency Bangkok sits close to tourist sights, markets, malls, and the metro. It is expensive compared with local options, though. For the same cash price in Southeast Asia, I could probably get a more luxurious stay at a local hotel, which is why I didn't give it five stars.

The City View room can pick up noise from both the street and the train. The hotel itself is clean, spacious, and offers good service, though it feels like nearly ten years since the last refurbishment, and there are some signs of wear such as stains. I liked the room layout, especially the open closet area that you can also reach from the bathroom. The large square table was useful too, with room for two laptop workstations and charging devices, and it doubled as a dining table. At about THB 7700 per night on average for a city view room, it felt like good value compared with the THB10K - 12K++ typical of many 5-6 star brands, including the new Andaz. The hotel is on Sukhumvit Road, around a three-minute walk from Nana BTS. It's less crowded than the Ploenchit and Chitlom stations area farther up Sukhumvit. The MRT at Terminal 21 is about an eight-minute walk away, and both rail systems help avoid Bangkok traffic. The Regency clientele felt a bit less ritzy, and there were prostitutes outside the hotel at night, but I still found the location decent.

The rooftop bar had fantastic views, and the location made it easy to explore Bangkok. I had a very pleasant stay at the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, the hotel was well maintained, and the staff were friendly and professional. Thanks to the whole team for the hospitality. I'll be back on my next visit.

The room was comfortable and spacious, and cleanliness was very good. We also liked the clean, well-kept pool and fitness facilities, which made it easy to relax. The location was excellent for getting around, with BTS nearby and plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shopping areas close by.
