We found dried blood on the sheets and loads of bedbugs on the sheets and mattress after waking up. When we complained, they laughed at first. We asked to change rooms and were shown another upstairs room, but it also had blood-stained sheets and bedbugs. The halls are carpeted, so I’d be very confident that rooms 1-10 all have bedbugs. After we refused that second room, the staff got a little irritated but moved us to the newer section. Rooms 11-16 are in a different area and were cleaner. They call them premium rooms because they don’t smell, aren’t dark, and don’t have bedbugs. Our friend arrived the next day and we warned him. He complained about his room and mentioned the bedbugs, which really seemed to make the manager mad. I’m sure the manager targeted us because we’d complained the day before, and I think that may be why he chose to rob us. We went out for the day and came back to find 400 us missing from our room and the window unlocked. We had a no disturb sign on the door. The receptionist said nobody had gone in to clean, so you could reasonably assume it was the manager himself, rather than other staff. The manager wouldn’t let us see the camera footage, so I guess it wasn’t there for guest security. Theft from hotel rooms is quite common in Thailand, but don’t book somewhere if you know the manager is out to steal from people.

It’s inexpensive and only a kilometer from the Silom area, with the river and interesting sights and shopping areas within reach. The rooms are clean, and management and service staff are friendly and top notch. Nobody pushes tours or promotions. It might be a little too quiet if you’re looking for that old “One Night I'm Bangkok” kind of scene, but I come back here to rest whenever I’m in Bangkok.

I spent 17 nights here during my Bangkok visit and was super happy with what I got for the price. It’s a clean, cheap, basic room with everything needed: bed, tables, couch, bathroom, and TV. They bring two bottles of water daily, plus there’s a kettle and coffee, and the room is cleaned every day. I had no problems. The staff don’t speak very good English, but you can communicate. Silom is 1km away, and FamilyMart is 30 seconds away and open 24/7. Recommended.

For the price, I was pleasantly surprised by what was included. The room was comfortable, with aircon, fridge, unlimited WiFi, and a basic bathroom with toilet, shower, and basin. Everything worked, including the satellite TV, though all the channels were in Thai. The WiFi was good enough for Netflix and YouTube. There’s no restaurant, room service, bar, or pool, but laundry is available for an extra charge. Daily room service and two bottles of water are included. I’d happily stay again.
