Kokotel Bangkok Surawong

The glass bottles for refilling drinking water were a lovely, eco-friendly touch. Service was great and the place had a really nice feel. If I’m back in Bangkok, I’ll definitely stay here again. 🫶🏻 My room was spotless and fresh-smelling, with wonderfully cool air-con. It felt almost brand new. The bed and every pillow were so soft and comfy, easily the coziest I’ve had after staying in lots of hotels. Everything was a 10/10 for me! 💖

The staff were friendly, always smiling, and happy to sort out any issues. Laundry was another big plus: for 50 Baht, I could wash and dry my travel clothes, which was incredibly cheap and the first time I’d come across this service in all my years of traveling. With a water dispenser on every floor, I didn’t need to buy bottles from 7-11 either, so I reckon I saved quite a bit. It’s great value, and Kokotel will likely be my choice for future trips. The location is central and close enough to walk to Mariamman Temple Bangkok. You can also get to the bus, MRT, BTS, and airport rail link easily, or take a bike taxi for around 50Baht. The food was good, though more vegan choices would be my one suggestion. I had a cozy, very enjoyable stay. Keep up the great service.

We had to move after one night because the heater didn’t work in the other building and the water pressure was basically nonexistent. This happened in two rooms on different floors. The staff acted quickly and moved us, which I appreciated. In the main building the shower was fine and the AC worked great. The rooms were clean, though a little dated, and the bed was comfortable. The Silom location is good. Make sure you get a room in the main building.

The only real upside for us was being close to IconSiam and Centralworld. We booked a four-person room for seven nights, but there was hardly any space and very little light for doing ordinary things. On the first night we found two small roaches coming from a corner and were moved to another room, where tiny bugs kept crawling around. We tried to put up with it, but left two days early and found somewhere else. The staff were nice and accommodating, but I can’t recommend this place for cleanliness or for a family stay. It just didn’t work for us. I’m waiting to hear about a refund for the two nights we left early and will update.
