Visitors going to the Royal Funeral of the Queen Sirikit may be able to take a free shuttle bus from this station directly to Sanam Luang (the Grand Palace Square in front of Thai Royal Palace). The service is expected to continue until the end of the Queen’s funeral, approximately another 12 months from October 2025.

The hotel should have someone answering the phone around 1:00 PM. It looks like they don’t take app bookings and focus on walk-ins. But if you show up and the rooms are full, it’s a waste of time. I called twice and nobody answered 😅.

It’s close to the MRT, which makes getting around very convenient. The room is quite small, but having a sofa, refrigerator, and balcony is nice. This place suits people who aren’t too picky and just want somewhere for a short overnight stay. Keep the balcony closed, though, because mosquitoes get in quickly. I was bitten all night and even woke up to a flattened mosquito on the bed. The bathroom light started malfunctioning while I was there, and the staff said on LINE that their notifications weren’t working either. There’s a restaurant and drinks shop nearby, though I didn’t get to try them. Wall shelves and an extra face towel would be useful. A larger TV with more channels could also make it better value.

I regularly take the MRT to Tha Phra station, so I should have passed by this place. MRT Thaphra, spthaphra. I’ve never seen it, and I don’t know what it is.
