NIDA Rooms Wongsawang 19 Plaza

Thank you to the owner of the Loft Resort for kindly letting us use the space as lodging during our Bangkok Thailand summer mission trip. We appreciated the hospitality and hope many more guests get to stay here. Matthew 11:28-30 [Jesus said] “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

There are cockroaches in the rooms, and this was the last straw for us. After seeing one in my room in the photo, we decided to get out of there. The hotel is far from shops and food, has no 24-hour reception, and the staff don’t speak English. The elevator setup means you have to carry your suitcase up stairs on the ground floor, then again on your floor. We booked a double bed but got two uncomfortable single beds pushed together. This is a terrible hotel, with no regard for service standards. A friendly warning: don’t book it. It’s really, really bad.

Nice people, and the place was clean. The Pad Thai was so good.

The place wasn’t clean, and I felt they were scammers. Check-in was very poor because the hotel reception was handling security at the same time. In the morning, I asked where breakfast was and was told it cost 200 baht, so I said I didn’t want it. Ten minutes later, he came back and said breakfast was free for me. I had a little bread and egg, then when I was getting a taxi, he said breakfast cost 200 baht after all. He wouldn’t accept that he’d called it free, and I had to pay 200 baht for a breakfast I felt wasn’t worth 50. Be careful!
