Novotel Bangkok Bangna

The buffet was delicious, the room 724 was awesome, and the staff were so helpful. A special thank you to Zonya at reception, who looked after our group and gave us all the information we needed. She must have heard the same questions again and again, but stayed pleasant and smiling 😊 Air Arabia put me up at the hotel after our flight was cancelled because of the situation in the Persian Gulf. I was there for almost 24 hours and nearly forgot the unpleasant situation we were dealing with.

We stayed almost a month and spent Christmas and New Year here. It’s a little far from the city, but the BTS is about a 5-minute walk away. Housekeeping was excellent, and they were very accommodating when I asked for an extra bed while traveling with my two children under four. The air conditioning worked great, and the kids loved the bathtub. My only issue was the power going on and off. Some interruptions lasted five minutes. I’m assuming they were working on something nearby. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

The room was bright and clean, with everything I needed, including a pleasant surprise, an iron. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, the staff were polite and attentive, and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel.

Breakfast was great, with plenty to choose from: fruit, cereal, juice, yoghurt, an egg station and even ice cream. Halal options were available. The gym was well equipped and functional, and the concierge can arrange a shuttle to a few city spots at set times. Staff were helpful, WiFi was always available, there were lots of TV channels, and the rooms were adequate. Supalai Park across the road has laundry options. The hotel is quite dated and in a part of town that isn’t scenic. The functional rooms are old and smelled a bit musty from the air con. Cupboard storage was ample, towels were changed and beds made, but the cleaning wasn’t thorough. I dropped a coin behind the TV cabinet and found layers of dust there. There was also some mould on the walls and in the cupboard. The shower is over a bathtub with a curtain, and the bathroom could use more shelves or hooks for toiletry bags.
