Panda Lodge Home Stay

I didn’t actually stay here, but I met the front-of-house staff and they made me want to. I saw the rooms, and they looked great for 6 aud, though the showers weren’t that good. I often shower in public toilets while camping, so judge that how you will. The staff are great, and I nearly stayed. It’s on a street with a bar on the main strip, so I imagine there may be some noise. Still, when I checked the place out, it seemed worth 6 aud.

The price is fair, but the conditions made me feel I wouldn’t choose this place again. The toilet and bathroom are always wet and smelly, and there were mosquitoes all over the room. I got bitten several times.

The place was so dirty, I couldn’t believe it. They didn’t provide AC during the day, and when we asked for it after checking in, they still wouldn’t. We checked out within 20 minutes and got no refund at all.

For the price and location, it’s a decent economy option, but I didn’t feel clean staying there and avoided the shower. The bathroom and shower area were incredibly small and looked rundown. Our private room was beside the dorms, where quiet hours weren’t enforced, so it was loud at night. The walls were paper thin and we could hear people talking next door. The bedroom itself was simple, with a comfortable bed and AC. But the coffee cups and sofa were very dirty.
