Princeton Bangkok

For what I paid, the stay at Princeton Hotel Bangkok was nowhere near worth it. The facilities seemed poorly maintained or didn’t work properly, and what was shown online didn’t match what I found. The whole place felt dull and badly managed. The room was neglected, with poor cleanliness and outdated furniture, and basic comfort and hygiene standards were missing. From check-in onward, things felt disorganized and unprofessional. Staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful, treating guests like an inconvenience, with cold and careless service and no warmth or courtesy. This was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. Extremely disappointing and not recommended. I’d tell future travelers to think twice, since there are much better options in Bangkok for service, comfort and professionalism.

The room itself was okay and service generally acceptable, but I was charged 400 baht over a hand towel and it ruined my impression of the stay. It had makeup on it because I’d used it to wipe my makeup sponge. The hotel insisted on the charge when I raised it, which felt unreasonable. They didn’t even try washing the towel before billing me. Guests should check the linens when they arrive and know they might be charged for stains, whether or not the hotel has tried cleaning them. That seems unfair. Hotels should handle cleanliness concerns promptly and fairly, and this charge spoiled what was otherwise an average stay.

They charged us extra because a towel was wet, which is ridiculous since towels are meant to be used. When we brought it up, the staff were rude, dismissive and unreasonable instead of explaining the policy respectfully. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome, and the way they spoke to us showed no basic customer service. My experience with customer service at Princeton Hotel was extremely disappointing. As paying guests, we expected respectful treatment, but the staff came across as unprofessional. Charging people for a normal wet towel and treating us that way was unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone wanting a pleasant, respectful stay.

There’s a lot of space, and the place looks beautiful at first. It has two rooms, a living area and a small kitchen with an oven, kettle and electric stove, which is handy. But the building is old, the bathroom doors were broken, and there was an electric drip issue. The slippers provided also looked used. Better upkeep and more attention to cleanliness would make the stay much better.
