Ratchada Boutique Hotel

The staff, from the manager and reception team to the bellboy and cleaning ladies, were friendly and very helpful. The room had the basics I wanted: a mini fridge, hair dryer, electric kettle, TV, and air conditioning. Nearby there are two 7-11 convenience stores, a Big C mall, and plenty of street food. The Thailand Cultural Centre MRT (Blue Line) station is a 10 to 15 minutes walk away. I might book here again next time I go to Bangkok. A couple of things could be improved. There was only one bath towel per person, and it would be good to have a face towel too. Please check the air-conditioning units and water supply in every room regularly instead of waiting for guests to complain. The sink had good water pressure, but the shower didn’t. Also, I couldn’t control the air conditioner’s swing flap, so cold air blew straight at the bed.

I stayed for 9 nights and had a very positive experience, especially thanks to the staff. When my luggage was lost at Malpensa Airport, reception contacted Thai Airways’ lost baggage office and sorted it out quickly. They let me know as soon as my bag arrived. Reception is open 24/7 and check-out is possible at any time, which was handy. Everyone was kind, professional, and helpful. When I had a couple of TV issues, they fixed them right away. The room was functional, with two comfortable single beds, a desk, large mirror, coat rack instead of a wardrobe, plenty of sockets, and good lighting. The large bathroom had two areas: a spacious shower, then a sink and toilet with the typical Thai sprayer. Towels were always clean. I noticed one tiny stain on a bedsheet, nothing serious. The TV signal sometimes cut out but was fixed quickly. The AC blew directly toward the bed, the fridge was noisy at night, and the safe wasn’t fixed in place, so it felt awkward to use and not very secure. The lobby and shared spaces were stylish, well designed, clean, and well maintained. There’s a nice bar area with a well-stocked selection, serving coffee, desserts, and some meals. I didn’t have the classic buffet breakfast, but often got coffee, cappuccino, desserts, and even ice cream at the bar, all good quality. The cleaning was excellent too, with daily bed making, regular towel changes, and a very clean room and hotel. The surrounding area isn’t the prettiest, since the hotel is on a secondary street, but it’s practical and well connected. BIG C is very close, as is a beautiful, clean Thai night market with street food. The MRT is about 5 minutes walking distance, and there’s a Thai cultural center nearby. A few MRT stops take you to the station connected to the Airport Rail Link for the international airport. Asok, with its shopping malls, nightlife, and entertainment, is also just a few stops away. The interiors are nicely decorated, including Christmas decorations during my stay. I’d stay again, especially if I needed to be in this area. The price for 9 nights was good, the hotel was very clean, the MRT was close, and the staff were outstanding. My suggestions would be to replace the noisy fridges, secure the safes to the wall or furniture, and adjust the direction of the AC.

The staff were really nice and explained everything. My room 2206 was spacious, very clean, and felt premium. The air con worked well and was silent, and the bed was comfortable. The train station is a few minutes’ walk away, so the location is great. There was a slight humidity smell, maybe from the Aircon, but it wasn’t strong enough to bother me. Water pressure could be higher too. I stayed for 2 nights and would come back. A good hotel choice.

Tucked away in an alley, this place is a little gem. I booked 6nights, and the room was clean and cozy. There are food stalls and a 7 eleven close by for the basics. The nearest BTS is a bit far, but you can get anywhere by motorbike, so all was good.
