Right Place Sathorn

The rooms are clean and spacious, though the couch was dirty. Service was excellent, with daily room cleaning and a free shuttle within 2 km. There’s construction next door, so it gets very noisy during the day. The location isn’t close to anything walkable or to transit. Fair for the price.

The helpful staff, free water and complimentary Tuk Tuk rides anywhere within 3km were appreciated. But our stay in self-catering room 801 was among the worst hotel stays we’ve had. The room was remote from most tourist spots, and getting a taxi or Bolt there took a long time in traffic. One taxi driver suggested telling drivers it’s near the Lumpini suites, which many know. Inside, the towels were old and tatty, the sofa and blinds were stained, the walls needed repainting, the chairs had rust, and the bedding had holes. The shower only got lukewarm at its highest setting, and the basin had only cold water and no plug, making shaving difficult. There was nowhere to hang a towel while showering, and I killed my first two cockroaches in Bangkok here.

My room was right behind Central Plaza’s parking lot, and the loading and unloading of delivery trucks made it too noisy all night.

The bed is hard, the WiFi is slow and only works on one device, and there’s no shower curtain. Staff are often unhelpful. Wrong place to stay, avoid it.
