As an autistic traveler with ADHD, I really appreciated how calm and clean this hostel was. The room and bathroom were roomy, the facilities were very clean, and it was quiet enough to rest. Staff were friendly and attentive, with helpful people at reception around the clock. We could do laundry and wait for check-in on the rooftop. Towels, toilet paper, shower gel, shampoo, and one small bottle of water per person each day were supplied. The fridge is small for the number of guests, though there is also a microwave. Getting around was easy, with the metro and buses close by. Local buses cost 8-15 baht in cash. For Don Mueang Airport, you can take the blue metro line and connect to the train at Bang Sue, buying tickets at the counter or using a card at the gate. One confusing point: I was charged a 3% card fee even when paying in cash.

My German friend Jürgen told me enthusiastically about S1 Hostel Bangkok on February 21, 2026, so I moved into room 4D-02 the following day. I liked the facilities and everything else enough to give it five stars after three nights, then headed to Hua Hin for a few days as planned. When I got back to Bangkok on February 28, I stayed at S1 Hostel again. The manager surprised me with an upgrade to the more comfortable, spacious 5B-02. I’m sincerely grateful to the manager, receptionist, and all the staff for that. I was very happy there until the morning of March 10, when I checked out reluctantly, said goodbye to the clean, tidy, beautiful S1 Hostel Bangkok, and flew home to Frankfurt.

The industrial style and atmosphere are great, and the staff were really friendly. Everything else was lovely, but the bed was one of the hardest I’ve ever slept on.

The 711 next door is handy, but there’s no elevator. The bed is extremely hard, and I hit my head twice on the bathroom door, which is only about 175cm tall.
