SC Park Hotel

The location is awful for tourists. You’ll need a cab to get almost anywhere, since the train station isn’t walkable. The WiFi barely worked, so using a SIM for data is better. The room curtain wouldn’t close properly, and the sunrise woke me up. Laundry is charged by item instead of by kilo, which felt insulting. The pools were dirty, there were no towels, and the walkway over the pool was rusty and broken. The gym also had maintenance problems. The air conditioning was filthy. I asked before arriving to have it cleaned, was told it would be, and it hadn’t been done. The breakfast area had the same problem, so I wore my mask most days. I’ll upload photos of the AC. The restaurant was terrible. Most of breakfast was inedible, and they couldn’t even cook an egg properly. The omelette was raw inside. They served cheap vending machine coffee despite having a perfectly good coffee shop next door. For a 4 star hotel, you’d think coffee from there would be included. I ate at the restaurant once, and the Massaman curry came with raw potato. It made me feel sick. I told them, but they still expected me to pay. After being sick here for several weeks, I had an emergency flight home and needed to check out five days early. I provided medical papers, but they refused a refund. This should be up to the manager, but they don’t care. This definitely isn’t a 4 star hotel. Even 3 stars might be pushing it. I’ll upload photos of the dirty AC and restaurant.

For what I paid, this stay wasn’t worth it. The room seemed old, with a low ceiling, and the service and facilities didn’t feel up to a 4-star standard. I arrived around 4:00 PM on the 31st, but the room still wasn’t ready. The front desk staff didn’t take responsibility or offer a real solution, only saying the hotel was busy. When I asked about compensation, they told me I had to request it myself, which was very disappointing. They also insisted the room was already available. I called another room that checked in at the same time, but nobody answered. Why provide a contact number if no one picks up?

The breakfast buffet has a good selection, and some dishes change each day. I was satisfied with the stay overall. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the basic amenities were there. It’d be perfect if the shower hose were bigger.

I booked through Agoda because I needed a hotel in this area. It’s a huge place but surprisingly quiet. I only stayed one night, then checked out. Breakfast was okay, with the usual choices. The location worked fine, with taxis easy to catch. The price seemed fair for the area and amenities.
