Siam Golden Place Suvarnabhumi by Cubic

The pictures are a bit old, lol, but it's a nice, clean, comfortable hotel with good rooms and beds. My suite had a kitchen, though without utensils or dishes it wasn't much use. The new owners are clearly trying hard. They're friendly and provide a free shuttle, which was a big draw when I was choosing a hotel. The food is good, though the pool is a bit rough. I'd definitely stay here again. In fact, I've already booked my room. LOL

The staff were lovely, and the free airport shuttle was a plus, but I had the worst night's sleep at this shocking hotel. The room was much smaller and pokier than the brochure suggested, especially compared with other beautiful hotels I've stayed in for the same price. The air con took hours to bring the room from 38 degrees to 27, and was so loud I couldn't sleep. The tiny balcony faced noisy air con units. There wasn't any tea or coffee when we arrived, though they brought ample after I complained. There's only one English TV channel, and apart from 7-eleven there's nowhere to go.

The service was excellent. Everyone was kind and cooperative, and it felt worth the money. I was traveling from India with my 2 year old, who got sick during transit, and a hotel employee helped us through it. The front lobby executive even booked a grab cab on her own credit card without worrying about the risk. They were incredibly helpful, I'd give them 6 stars.

The room was great, and the buffet and hospitality were excellent. The only issue was the door frames and floors, which made it easy to trip or hurt yourself at the bathroom and room entrances.
