We paid the full price in cash after booking through Booking.app, but they wouldn't show us the room number before payment. We only planned to stay one night and didn't want to search with our suitcases, so we went along with it. In four years in Bangkok, this was the worst place I've stayed, and it certainly wasn't among the cheapest. The room was tiny. The promised private bathroom was only a small shower, with the toilet shared in the hallway. The bedding had stains, and cold air constantly blew from an open vent above the bed, along with mosquitoes. The air conditioning was shared by everyone and couldn't be controlled, so it was freezing. Outside the dirty window, a tiny balcony was covered in rubbish and never cleaned. The window faced a busy road, and it was very noisy. We knew we wouldn't sleep and asked to move to a room across the way. Those rooms were free, but the hostess refused, saying they were all occupied and that we weren't allowed to inspect other rooms. We couldn't stay with the noise, cold, and mosquitoes coming in through an opening that couldn't be closed, so we had to find another hotel in the middle of the night. Later, when we opened Booking to leave a review, we found we'd been removed from the guest list as if we had never arrived. I wouldn't recommend this place. Don't be fooled by the attractive photos, they're just to draw customers in. You can get a room 1000 times better for 600 baht. I hope karma catches up with the owners and they get robbed too.

There’s a shopping centre across the road, but the room itself is ridiculously tiny. A bed takes up nearly the whole space, with just a little shower cubicle. The toilet isn’t private, though the shower is. The older man at reception was kind, but he didn’t speak English, so it was hard to communicate.

Getting around was easy from here: Lad Prao MRT is about 400 metres away, and Union Mall and Phahonyothin MRT are a 10-minute walk. Espresso Cafe and a 7 eleven are both roughly two minutes on foot. Big C is across the busy Lad Prao road, with a pedestrian overpass to reach it. The staff were really helpful and kind. The owner speaks good English and was keen to help whenever I needed anything. For the price, the place worked for me, and I’d stay again if I needed to. My “private” room was very cramped, with only a small bed and just enough room for my backpack and guitar. The bed was comfortable, and both the AC and Wifi worked well. There’s a shared bathroom with one shower on the second floor, plus a small common room with a TV, couch, sink, and microwave. Sharing that bathroom got awkward a couple of times during my 10-day stay.

We had the place to ourselves for those two days, which worked out nicely. It was quiet and handy for the MRT, with a good station right across from it. A taxi from the Northern bus terminal was cheap too. Just tell the driver Big C complex opposite lat phrao.
