Siam@Siam Design Hotel Bangkok

I appreciated being allowed to check out at 2 pm, especially since I was dealing with bad jet lag after travelling from Europe. Sam at reception was very kind and helpful throughout. My first room's bathtub didn't work for my needs, so he moved me to a room with a lovely, large tub and grab bars that made getting in and out safer. I was so comfortable there that I added two nights to my stay. The BTS and MBK Center are nearby, and there are several 7-Eleven stores within walking distance.

The decor is stylish, though parts of the layout feel maze-like and you could get turned around on your own. There are plenty of helpful staff to point you in the right direction. The meeting rooms were spotless, with the lighting and sound equipment set up just right. The food and snacks were delicious, too. A great venue with excellent catering.

There's a great gym with dumbbells, a Smith machine and cable machines. After checkout, you can leave your bags and still use the pool and shower. The BTS station is only a two-minute walk away, which makes that handy. The hotel has a modern, artsy feel, with quality furniture and art throughout. Breakfast runs from 6:30 to 10:30 and has a huge selection of Thai and Western food. It's twice as much if you pay at the hotel, so pay in advance if you want it.

The pool is the standout, with an incredible view, and its bar serves drinks and really good food. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had, with a choice and quality I haven't seen matched. The ground-floor restaurant was good as well. I loved how spacious, comfortable, stylish and clean the room was. The staff were lovely, and they offered an upgrade at a reasonable price so I could check in earlier. The location is great, close to the BTS for getting around. The sort of place that makes you want to stay in for days. Excellent experience!
