Siamese Sukhumvit 87

This was our second family stay here during a visit to Thailand, and we felt welcome from the start. The front desk staff were especially kind, giving the kids snacks that made our child very happy. Everyone smiled, greeted us, and was ready to help. The hotel was clean and had a nice atmosphere. We had a lovely stay and would definitely come back.

The view from the window is stunning, and the condos are spacious and well maintained. It feels modern and comfortable. The pool is outdoors just before the entrance, which is a little unusual. There’s a bar upstairs, though it wasn’t operating when I visited, perhaps because it was raining. On Nut BTS is fairly close, and there are bus stops and lots of 7-Eleven shops. The neighborhood has many tourists and expats. For a first Bangkok stay, it’s a reasonable choice if you plan to use the BTS to see the main sights. There are McDonald’s on both sides of the station and a Lotus supermarket with what you need. It also works well if you prefer paying by foreign card. I recommend it.

The views are stunning at this beautiful hotel and residence. A must-visit for anyone wanting to take in Bangkok’s breathtaking scenery.

For the price, I’d call this a pretty decent hotel. The loft-style rooms are cool, the bed was super comfortable, and you get free slippers. I loved the gym, too. It had AC and was nice and cold. Up on the roof there’s a gorgeous city view, and you can order drinks in the evening, though the menu is quite small. The room had a couple of downsides: the sofa by the TV only seats two, and the nicely decorated washroom felt cramped, with mold on the counter. The lobby was my least favorite part. It was hot and muggy with the doors kept wide open. The pool looked very different from the online photos. To me it seemed more like a pond, and the water looked dirty, with floating algae and mold. There were only four loungers, though pool towels were free and there was an outdoor shower. It’s at ground level between the lobby and a busy main street, so don’t expect to relax there. The hotel is in a good spot near the skytrain, though.
