Suneta Hostel Khaosan

A peaceful place, away from the noise but still near plenty of amenities, attractions, and transit. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the washrooms were clean. I liked relaxing in the lounge and met some really nice people there. If I come back, I'd very likely stay here again.

It's not modern, but it had everything I needed, and I loved being just steps from khao san road. There are lots of shops and cheap places to eat nearby. The old Thai-style street interior gives the hostel a unique feel. I'd seen some negative reviews, but my experience was good. The washrooms and the rest of the place were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. I didn't notice the smell mentioned in other reviews; it was actually fine.

We booked the private/buddy room and felt very safe inside. The building was lovely and made us feel at home. It's close enough to Khao San to be near everything and feel the energy, but far enough away that it wasn't loud. We arrived before check-in, and they let us store our luggage somewhere safe and rest in the lobby while we waited. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. We'd come back!

Samy and Cat made my stay feel especially warm. Samy at reception was always smiling, genuinely helpful, and had great local tips. Samy and Cath went out of their way to make guests feel like family. The hostel itself is clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, mixing traditional Thai charm with modern comforts. The beds are comfortable, the common areas are relaxed and social, and the location is handy for markets, street food, and public transport. I felt welcome and at home from the moment I arrived at Suneta Hostel Bangkok. A comfortable, friendly, memorable place to stay in Bangkok, highly recommended.
