Ta Residence Suvarnabhumi

We’re leaving and hoping for a refund. We paid a lot, over 100 UK pounds a night, compared with the rest of Bangkok. The booking.com listing showed breakfast, but there was none, and no food at all. We already knew the restaurant and spa weren’t open. The photos on websites can be flattering, but this place was the extreme opposite of what I expected. The pool looked like a pond with fish and frogs. The place was scruffy and filthy. I think we’re the only guests. The rooms are passable, and the staff are lovely, which makes me feel bad for them because they’ll get the complaints. The balcony view wasn’t a view at all, just a brick wall, paint cans, and debris. I’m honestly laughing because I can’t believe I have to write this. I’ve stayed in some awful places, and this is the worst. Please don’t come here.

I like coming back here because it’s quiet and relaxing, away from traffic noise. The staff serve you with a smile. I can sit with a coffee and handle business with a client without anyone disturbing me. I wish I could stay longer on my business trips.

The place is okay, but there are a lot of mainland Chinese tourists, and I wish their behavior would improve so the staff could treat other tourists better. It was bad enough that one staff member started making rude comments to other tourists who looked Chinese. I hope he’ll show more courtesy. Otherwise, I’d give it four stars.

The hotel is beautiful and quiet, and the weather is good. It’s convenient for getting around because it’s close to the airport. The staff are very friendly. I’ll come back.
