The Corner Ratchada

The best thing about this hotel is that it’s only a five-minute walk from MRT Sutthisan. But the room and toilet were very small, unlike how they looked in the pictures, and the shower was so cramped I could barely move. They weren’t clean either. We had booked four nights, but after the second night we came back from a day trip to find the room uncleaned and without electricity. Staff said we’d have to pay more for the remaining two nights. Once we showed again that we’d already paid, they turned the power back on without comment or a real apology. The booking handling and customer service need improvement.

At 2:05 pm, when I arrived to check in, my room still wasn’t ready. The front desk woman didn’t tell me anything, so I had to ask if I had a room. She said it wasn’t ready and asked me to wait while she spoke on the phone with staff about which room was available. This shouldn’t happen after check-in time. I got my room at 2:21 pm. Note: she asked for a 500 baht deposit in cash only.

The room was clean, with a big bed and a good amount of space, and the location is very good, close to the subway. There are three floors and no elevator, so it may be inconvenient if you have big luggage.

The interior decoration is nice, and my fiancee liked it a lot. The staff were nice too. It’s very close to Sutthisan MRT station, so getting there by public transport is easy. The place is clean and very basic, with no extra services, but basic services are available around the hotel.
