The Gravitique Hotel Khaosan

After booking problems at other hotels, we were stressed and looking for somewhere to stay. We came here to ask about one night, and they had a room for less than the online rate. They gave us a welcome drink and checked us in within five minutes. Matt and Asia were especially friendly and helpful, and made check-in easy. The rooms are great. There’s some noise from khaosan road, but nowhere near as bad as other reviews suggest. I’d stay again.

The noise made sleeping impossible. There seems to be a party going on constantly somewhere right behind the building, with full-volume bass, screaming, and music that feels like it’s in the room. Even noise-canceling headphones couldn’t block the bass. We tried opening and closing the balcony door, and there was no difference. The windows seem useless, with the noise just as loud either way. I’ve never encountered such poor sound insulation in any hotel. This is the worst hotel stay I’ve had in Bangkok in more than a decade of coming here. It’s completely unacceptable, not a minor inconvenience. If you need sleep, value rest, or have to get up early, avoid it. Only book if you’re here to party all night and don’t intend to sleep.

What stood out most was the caring, professional, and kind staff. The hotel is beautiful and very clean, with spotless rooms looked after each day. Its location makes getting around easy, and the prices are reasonable for the quality. I highly recommend it.

The staff were genuinely warm and attentive, with no attitude, which was refreshing in such a busy area. Step outside and temples, tourist attractions, and Khaosan Road are right there. It’s loud, messy, and lively, which is handy if you came for the chaos rather than to escape it. My room was surprisingly spacious, and the bathroom was even better, modern and bright. It has that “view into the room” design hotels use when they want you extra aware of whoever you’re traveling with. I asked for a higher floor and they acknowledged the request, but put me on the second floor instead. Not tragic, just a bit disappointing. Comfortable room, lovely bathroom, friendly team, and a great location.
