The Tangerine Guesthouse

This was my second stay here, and it's still my go-to place in Sathon. It's clean, cozy, stylish, and well equipped, with a boutique hotel feel at a much friendlier price. The neighborhood is one of my favorites in Bangkok, with good cafes and relaxed local bars nearby. It's not too touristy, so you get more of a local feel, and the main sights are a short ride away. Check-in was simple after a long flight. The instructions were clear, and the self check-in was a breeze. The room was bright, airy, and spotless, with a very comfortable bed and a modern look with thoughtful touches. There's a little workspace, and the Wi-Fi handled video calls and streaming well. I was here during Songkran, which made for an unforgettable stay. It was easy to join the water fights and then come back for some peace and quiet to dry off and recharge. I came home soaked and smiling, and fell in love with the city all over again. The AC broke for a day, but the host responded right away, kept me updated, and offered a little something for the trouble. It happens, and they handled it really well. This is officially my Bangkok home base. Can't wait for round 3!

I stayed five nights and found it really good value. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, with lots of local offerings, and the BTS was within walking distance. It was easy to get in touch with the owner, who helped us when needed. Having a washing machine in the common area was a nice extra.

The host let us check in early, and the directions were super clear. Tip: search for Tangerine Guesthouse. It was a highlight of our Bangkok trip, and all my friends loved it. The room was very clean, with beautiful big windows, and the check-in itself was easy to follow. It takes about 7-8 minutes to walk to St. Louis BTS station. The neighborhood felt local and safe, especially with an international school close by. There's a washer and dryer on the 1st floor, which came in very handy. The street has hair salons, food carts, cafes, and massage parlors. It's a great spot if you want peace and quiet away from the most touristy areas. The host was very professional and always available for questions. When we had trouble with the shower drain, she replied quickly and sent a cleaner to take care of it right away. I can't recommend this place enough.

We had a great five-night stay in this brand new guest house, about 15 minutes on foot from BTS St. Louis. From BTS exit 2, follow Soi 11 for 12 minutes, turn left onto Soi 3, then walk another 3-5 minutes. Check-in uses codes sent by the owner for the entrance door. Our room was large, with a sofa and desk. The new AC was quiet and runs from the room key. The kitchen was fully functional, with a large fridge, microoven, sink, and kettle. The WiFi connection was excellent, and it had the quietest aircon I found in Bangkok. The new bathroom had excellent hot water and good pressure, with nice green, white, and black decor. Everything was spotlessly clean, functional, and felt safe. Guests can use a ground-floor washing machine for 30 Thai bath. There's a 7/11 at the street corner, about a five-minute walk away, and plenty of nice breakfast places and restaurants nearby. We didn't meet the owner, but she was very responsive on WhatsApp. A live-in cleaner was there, though she spoke only Thai. When our shower drain clogged, it was fixed right away without any hassle. The refillable shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel were all good quality. Bangkok doesn't have a recycling policy, as far as I know. We tried sorting paper, plastic, and glass in the bin, but I'm not sure it helped. Excellent quality for the price.
