The Tivoli Hotel

i lived here for 7 month and recommend it if you want a nice area with what you need close by. The staff are friendly and the rooms are good, though they could use some upgrades, including more modern features and improvements to the bathroom. Still, i recommend the location overall.

Avoid this place. The sheets and towels were stained, there was a smell, and the bathroom had mold. I even found a bug in the bathtub. We got in late, at 11 pm, but left early the next morning because it was too dirty. I’d pay extra for a nicer hotel.

For a place to sleep if you have a car, it’ll do, but don’t expect much. I wouldn’t stay again. The rooms are very old and seem poorly maintained, and the pool looked dirty. I work in properties, so I know it didn’t look good. No breakfast, free coffee, or hot water even for noodles. I’ve paid less elsewhere and had more of the basics. There was no wifi data at check-in, outside noise carries in, especially when someone slams a door. The centralized AC cooled well, and the TV had local channels. On the plus side, it’s near a 7-11, a bar, a Thai noodle shop, and a Thai restaurant. Staff were helpful when we checked in late, including the morning staff, and there’s parking too. It feels like the place used to be great, but once the lease was done, they just started using it to make money. You can probably find somewhere better if you look around.

The price is reasonable and seems suitable for a longer stay, but there’s no electric kettle. It’s quite a way from the station, so I’d suggest it for intermediate travelers who can use Grab or rent a motorbike. The roads nearby are narrow and Bangkok traffic is heavy, so you’ll want to be comfortable taking a motorbike taxi.
