The Wooden House

This was a comfortable stay overall. The staff were polite and attentive, and the residential neighborhood was pleasant, with shops and True Digital Park close by. The place is a large house converted into separate rooms, aiming for a sort of five-star boutique feel. I had the junior sweet with balcony. My main issue was the old built-in AC. It was loud even on its lowest setting, so I needed earplugs, and it blew straight at my head. I ended up turning around in bed so my feet were by the headrest. That might not bother everyone, but the noise and air stream bothered me enough that the stay didn't meet my expectations.

David is an amazing host, and his beautiful villa felt like a luxurious home. The rooms were comfortable and better than I’d expect from a four-star hotel. Housekeeping were warm and helpful, the showers were great, the beds comfortable, and the kitchen well equipped. It felt like home, with the luxury of a resort. We booked during a busy holiday week, otherwise we would have stayed longer. The location worked well too. A quick Grab ride gets you to the heart of Sukhumvit in minutes, and highway access makes it easy to reach farther places without worrying about Metro traffic. We felt more warmly welcomed here than anywhere else in the world. I’ll definitely stay again when I need a break from home. Thanks so much, David! 🙏

This is my favorite place to stay in Bangkok so far, and I'd definitely visit again. The neighborhood is pretty quiet, with birdsong in the morning and evening. My room was spacious and nicely decorated, and there was a cozy common room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a coffee counter. The host was welcoming and quick to respond. I loved my stay at Mandela Park Residence!

The coffee was excellent, and the host was kind and had helpful suggestions for things to do and places to visit. The guest house was spotless and had a warm, inviting feel. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and at home. We'd gladly return and recommend it.
