Uno Express Asoke Sukhumvit Bangkok

The room I booked had a window and was quite spacious, and the location was great. There were some frustrating issues, though. The shower temperature kept changing, so be careful. The fridge only chills, it doesn't freeze: I asked the hotel to freeze something the night before my flight, but when I picked it up the next day it was still completely unfrozen. There wasn't an outlet by the bed, and the available sockets weren't universal. The two male receptionists were really unhelpful, especially the older one, who had a very bad attitude. The doormen, on the other hand, were attentive and helpful.

Uno Express was a really nice stay, especially after a hot day when I could come back to the air conditioning. It's centrally located near Terminal 21 mall and the BTS and MRT stations. There's even a Cat Cafe down the road.

The staff were kind, and my room was clean and a good size. But room 262 had a constant, repeating hum and vibration from the walls. I couldn't work out the source, and it made falling asleep really difficult. There was also a slight sewage smell from the shower.

Uno Express is a cheaper version of Sasha’s Uno Hotel, and they share staff. There's also a guard stationed outside the hotels all the time. I found the deluxe room bigger than average, and the central location made it easy to walk to Terminal 21, Asok, and Sukhumvit stations. There are lots of massage shops nearby, Grab food delivery is convenient from here, and there's a 7-11 right across the street. The plug points are the main drawback. They're Thai-style, so you'll need an adapter, and they're in the bathroom rather than beside the bed. I paid a little over 3000THB for two nights through booking.com.
