I had a great stay. This was one of the loveliest hotels I’ve stayed in, and it was beautiful throughout. The staff were friendly and so helpful, and the location was good too.

As a solo female traveller, I felt safe the whole time at Wallaya Heritage Stay. I’ve tried several hotels, homestays and guesthouses in Bangkok on my frequent visits, and this is my favourite. I already want to come back. I loved the historic feel, the bed was very comfortable, and the service was warm. The staff did their best to handle the many things I asked for, especially as the hotel had only recently opened. I’m leaving with great memories and hope to visit again soon. Two things didn’t quite work for me. I ordered an hour-long full-body oil massage, but the masseur’s technique wasn’t very good and it left me in pain. I also had room service, though the food wasn’t really to my taste.

The breakfast was lovely, with a mix of Thai dishes and desserts, and the staff were incredibly helpful. I asked for a special surprise for my friend, and they arranged a cake and decorated the bed with a “Happy Birthday” sign. This hotel opened in mid-2024 and keeps its charming classic Thai style beautifully. It feels like a hidden gem in Bangkok, especially if you’re looking for a classic, classy Thai atmosphere.

Food was excellent and really tasty, and I enjoyed my stay. Som-O is a great ambassador for the place. The only things I’d critique are the water pressure and how hard it was to find reception. I’ll come back at the first opportunity.
