The breakfast was a letdown: just boiled rice and eggs in a hot pan, plus instant coffee and no toast. There wasn’t enough, and it didn’t taste very good. At checkout, we had to wait for the room to be checked, and there was a room deposit, which was a bit inconvenient. Still, it was decent value for money, with polite staff. The resort is quiet and sits on the highway to Bueng Karn city. It’s about a 15-minute drive to the night market walking street and 30 minutes to 3-whale rock. Our room in the building was spacious, with a high ceiling, and was clean and comfortable. The amenities were good. Water pressure was a little low, so adjusting the shower was hard: it was either cold or too hot.

The mattresses were nice and soft, but the bathrooms felt grubby, and the service was pretty awful. It seemed to me that the establishment wasn’t Thai owned. It was the Boss’s birthday, and he was having a party. Paying guests couldn’t get food or alcohol, which were only available to his friends at the party. Nobody told us about this between booking a month ahead and arriving. The nearest town was 10km away, with no taxi service. After riding 350km that day, we really didn’t want to get back on our bikes, and we couldn’t relax with a few drinks either. I know they were busy, and I wasn’t looking for special treatment. But if they couldn’t or wouldn’t provide a basic level of service, they should have let customers know in advance.

A quiet spot with bungalow-style accommodation and a nice area for walking. Breakfast is served in the main restaurant area, and the riverside bar is about a 15-minute drive away.

The grounds were well kept, though some construction was underway. There were pretty pink banana plants in flower, and the rooms looked very nice and were clean.
