Canal Happiness by Oyo Rooms

Affordable room rates and a friendly atmosphere.

Across the street there’s a 7-Eleven, which was a plus. But arriving at the hotel felt unsettling: the gate was closed, and nobody was there to help. I had to call and was told they only accepted walk-ins at a different price. The hotel seemed to have had a deal with Oyo that was cancelled, but Oyo hadn’t yet cancelled its listing with Agoda, so I was told to arrange my own refund through Agoda. With no staff or other guests around on a holiday weekend, I cancelled the reservation.

I nearly ended up without a place to stay, but luckily I ran into a staff member! 555 The COVID situation had made things quiet, which I actually liked. It was peaceful, and I could walk to plenty of food options nearby, including markets and 7-Eleven. If work takes me back to that area, I’ll definitely stay here again.

The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The service was friendly and felt just like family, as they say. It was only a little quiet.
