SO/ Sofitel Hua Hin

The pool was nice and the kids loved swimming. If you want them in the water while you relax on your phone, this place may suit you. The staff were kind and patient, and I don't blame them. Their English is limited, so communication can take patience, but they do try to help. For me, the stay was disappointing, though maybe I just didn't understand what the hotel was aiming for. The room was already expensive, and inside it felt like a shop. Beside the pool, where the kids could see it, was a store full of treats and toys they wanted: ice cream, popcorn, smoothies, water guns, and floats. I was happy to buy a treat, but each small item cost much more than usual, plus a service charge. I spent the day either saying no or repeatedly paying a lot for very little. Going outside for other options wasn't easy, so I felt stuck with what was there. The price was high, but the quality didn't feel on the same level. It looks like a luxury hotel, yet I didn't experience it as one. I paid a lot and didn't feel I got that back. Guests talk to each other, and people who feel cared for are the ones who return and recommend a place. Maybe focusing on making guests want to come back would make a big difference. I'm not sure I'll return.

We spent four days here with family. The kids enjoyed the pool, so it could suit families focused on swimming. Most staff were friendly and tried to help, even though their English was limited. But the hotel looks better in photos than up close, where some areas seem run down. For the price, I expected more. Everything is expensive, with a service charge added, and you can't bring your own drinks to the pool. Over four days, it added up and felt like too much for what we got. I felt quite sad about it. Lower your expectations before coming.

There were lots of activities, so the stay had something for everyone. Khun Nonny was very helpful with recommendations and guidance, which made the visit better. I'd also like to thank Khun Beer for a relaxing, professional massage. Her skills and attentive service stood out, and the treatment room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely atmosphere. It was a wonderful experience, and I'd recommend this place.

The yoga session by the beach was a highlight, especially since it was my first time practicing beside the sea. The waves and peaceful setting made for a refreshing, relaxing start to the day. Thank you to Khun U๊, who looked after me so well. She was attentive, professional, and encouraging, and made the session comfortable and enjoyable. I had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Hua Hin. The hotel has a good range of activities for all ages, and it's beautiful and relaxing. There was plenty to make the visit memorable and worthwhile. Highly recommended!
