The Palayana Hua Hin

We were at the Palayana for a friend’s wedding, and the staff went above and beyond to make the whole experience a 10 out of 10. The location is superb, with walkable access to the beach. Our room was large, had everything we needed, including an iron and ironing board, and the ACs worked perfectly. The Villa rooms have private pools you can get to directly from the bedroom. The food during our stay was the best Indian and Thai food I’ve had yet. The cocktails were delicious and reasonably priced, especially the authentic Puerto Rican Pina colada, and there was happy hour too. I can’t say enough good things about the hotel and staff. Definitely looking forward to coming back.

The resort is peaceful and sits right on the beach, with clean surroundings, direct beach access and a large pool. Staff were polite, attentive and hospitable. Rooms and villas felt spacious and elegant, with soothing interiors and lovely garden or sea views. Breakfast was decent, with Thai and international choices. It’s slightly away from town, which makes for a calm, relaxing stay that could suit families or couples looking for a quiet getaway. But the price feels a bit high for the location and facilities, especially since you have to travel to reach Hua Hin attractions, shopping and nightlife. I’d rate it 4.2 out of 5 for the peaceful setting, good service and relaxing beachfront experience, though the pricing could offer better value.

We’ve stayed at five hotels in Hua Hin and Cha-am. Some were excellent and we’d happily recommend them, but the Palayana Hua Hin has stood out above them all for its elegance, tranquility, beautiful rooms and genuinely friendly staff. We’ve already stayed here three times and want to thank the hotel for each visit. Having the beach directly in front of the hotel was a real pleasure. That’s rare in Hua Hin, where a beach isn’t always right there at high tide. The complimentary massage course deserves a special mention. The massages were effective, relaxing and professional, and the therapist impressed us with her expertise. Since moving to Thailand, we’ve had many massages, but never before has someone correctly picked up on my partner’s or my physical issues after just a few minutes, then tailored the massage to address them. We also got stretching tips to help the effects last. Thank you for that. We highly recommend this wonderful hotel to everyone!

The beach was lovely, easy to reach and connected to the other resorts. It’s a very quiet spot with nothing else nearby, so it could be perfect if you just want to relax. This review is biased because we stayed during a wedding when the whole resort was booked out. From start to finish, the resort did an amazing job making us feel welcome and looked after. The staff were hospitable, smiled warmly and were eager to help. Our villa was modern enough, with a nice clean pool. The rooms were very spacious and great for a family. For just two people, having two rooms almost felt like too much.
