Venice Beach Village Hua Hin Pool Villa

I loved the place. It’s right by the sea, though you can’t swim in the ocean, so you’re there to enjoy the views. The resort has a small pool with a slide, a snooker table, and a kids’ play area. The rooms are comfortable, and there’s karaoke, a BBQ grill, a picnic gas stove, and ice, so you can have a party all day.

First impressions matter, and though things seemed good at first, our stay in Room V3 had problems that the owner should address. The unit didn’t seem ready to open. Before new guests arrive, it should be properly wiped down. There was a snack bag by the bedroom headboard, which looked untidy. The price isn’t cheap, and the lack of preparation really hurt that first impression. The three-bedroom, one-living-room unit had working air conditioning in the master bedroom and living room, but the other two bedrooms wouldn’t cool at all during hot weather. We called the repairman three times without a fix and had to use a fan. The first glass door was also very hard to open, and the key nearly broke. When we called for help, staff told us to lift the heavy door ourselves to unlock it instead of coming to handle it. Staff did try to fix the issues, but the service wasn’t as good as it could have been.

We were six people in the second green house, a cute two-story place with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Downstairs is the kitchen and living area. There’s a pool and slide outside, as well as a grilling spot. They give you one medium bucket of ice, enough for one night. The staff were lovely and polite, and in the evening we could walk down to enjoy the sea view.

The shallow pool seemed fine for children, and the slide didn’t look dangerous, though a few leaves had fallen into the water. We stayed in the green house, which sleeps six and has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There’s a kitchen inside, with a BBQ grill and picnic gas stove outside. Housekeeping were attentive and polite, and left us a free medium bucket of ice. The beach is close enough to walk to.
