Lam Poh Beach Resort

The evening restaurant is very good, but breakfast isn't available, just hot water. The wooden house was clean but quite basic, and could use a table and chairs. The location is good, though fishermen's boats coming and going through the river mouth make noise all night.

The restaurant is fantastic, with amazing food for lunch and dinner. Try the fresh crab or the Tom Yam Gung, it's the best I've had. The girls are so friendly, and we were lucky to catch the village market on a Saturday. We were here two years ago, and they've made a real effort to make the place more attractive and a lot cleaner. The bed is excellent and the bathroom is good. I would've liked a mosquito net. For us, this is the only option!

The chalets are basic but spacious, and the restaurant serves fresh, good food. The resort is fairly new, but already needs maintenance. Bathroom wastewater drains into the mangrove forest, which threatens the ecology, so it needs a proper sewerage system.

The restaurant has a marvelous sea view, and the food is tasty. The price is heavenly affordable. The bungalows in the mangroves have been upgraded, with nice rooms and facilities and fittings to a good standard.
