A big part of the appeal is how inexpensive the stay is. The rooms are clean and adequate, and the staff were friendly, though sometimes hard to find.

Good value and a clean room. There’s a car park and communal coffee, but no breakfast. It’s opposite number 2 bus station, with easy access to the Indo China intersection and the main highway.

The staff were friendly and the hotel had a warm, welcoming feel. Breakfast was filling: Khao tom, sausage and eggs, plenty of toast, and coffee. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel sits on the 201, which is handy for travellers. You’ll need a car to get into the city. Nearby, Mata is a fabulous restaurant.

The hotel felt worn and a bit tired, though the price we paid reflected that. I’d have been happier and rated it 3 1/2 if the American breakfast had been hot instead of coming straight from the fridge stone cold.

There’s no breakfast or other service. The reception service was very good, though, and for the price I paid, the hotel was fine, just very average.
