The balcony view was great, and the apartment was clean. The bed was comfortable, though we had to ask for different pillows because the ones provided were too high and hard. The kitchen had basic cooking gear and eating utensils. There weren’t any English channels on the TV.

The downsides outweighed the good parts for us. We had a convenient location near Chalong, an appealing view of Chalong Road, and reception handled our mail orders efficiently. But the apartment had large cockroaches and termites, and the air conditioners in the living room were dirty. We were sick all the time, and the shared Wi-Fi connection was poor. The rooms got uncomfortably hot, reaching 40°C within five minutes of switching off the air conditioning. Noise from nearby bars continued after 22:00. Electricity was unexpectedly expensive, around 5-6k baht, perhaps because of extra factors such as a hidden mining ASIC. Daily traffic congestion added to the problems.
