The towels were soft, and the AC, ceiling fan, WiFi and covered bike parking were all useful. It’s also easy to walk to the pier, food places and local laundry. But I left early because the room and a pile of problems didn’t match what I’d booked. The host offered to move me, but I wasn’t interested. Neither of the two room safes worked. There was dust and dirt by the window and on the floor, questionable bathroom stains, a dodgy door lock, and flooding in the bathroom, where repairs had started after I reported it. The shower door came off its track while I was using it, was hard to handle without leaking, and wasn’t properly attached at the bottom. There was a little bottle of floor or surface cleaner and a scrub brush in place of shampoo. I also found puddles in several spots around the bed and on the shelf below the TV, where my phone was. It’s water resistant, thankfully, but picking up a wet phone was alarming. The bed was hard as plywood, the cutlery looked really dirty and unwashed, and I never once saw the reception office open. People praise the cleanliness, but I didn’t find it clean. For basic accommodation at that price, I accepted some issues as par for the course, but the listing felt misrepresented.

The room had a charming, unusual style, and the whole place felt cozy and comfortable, more like home than a hotel. The owner was so welcoming and friendly, which made my stay at Phuket Paradiso Hotel a really happy one. I enjoyed being there and would gladly recommend it.

We stayed for 10 nights as a family of four and really liked the large Family Room. It has a small kitchen area, handy for making breakfast or warming up food, and the rooms were spotless. The modern interiors were well maintained, with a design boutique feel. Hotel Paradiso is in central Chalong, within walking distance of the Pier for daily trips, bars, restaurants and an imported goods supermarket. By motorbike, Naiharn and Kata beaches are only 10 minutes away. Highly recommended.

The room was nicely decorated and stayed cool through the day. Housekeeping was excellent, and everyone was very friendly. It’s just up the street from the beach, with lots of tour boats heading to nearby islands.

Shops and restaurants are close by, and there’s enough room outside to sit or hang laundry. The hotel is a little way off the main road, so car noise doesn’t reach you. My room was clean, roomy and well equipped, with a stylish loft look. I liked it, especially for the price.
