Phuket Siam Villas

I was looking for somewhere cheap, and this suited me perfectly. It’s basic, but had everything I needed, with friendly, helpful staff and room cleaning whenever I asked. There’s a simple restaurant on site, plus a pool I didn’t use. I’d happily stay again.

It’s quiet and peaceful here, and most of the people staying are fighters. The front desk auntie will help with whatever you need, and both room service and laundry are great. The place is lovely and worth the money compared with others on the strip. A day or a week feels a bit pricey, but for a month or longer the price is more than fair for what you get.

My superior room was spacious and comfortable, and nights were quiet. Some other hotels on the fitness strip have roosters going off at 5am. The location is central on the street and close to Tiger Muay Thai. Laundry was efficient and reasonably priced, and whether to stay really comes down to the price. If it were right, I’d come back, though I’d be firmer with the staff. Getting the room serviced was frustrating. I stayed two weeks and asked almost daily, but they didn’t make up the room. Eventually I pulled off the bed linen and piled it on the floor, then had to suggest they give me clean sheets so I could change them myself. I asked four times for a bulb so I could read, and it took six days. They also knock and come in even when the do not disturb sign is up. Shower pressure was a little weak.

I was here a little over a month. The price is somewhat high, though that seems to be the case everywhere on this Soi. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I always felt welcome. Room service was nice too. I especially liked that the rooms aren’t right beside the street, which cuts down on noise. My room could have used a reading lamp. It seems like an easy thing to provide, but the staff couldn’t get me one. I’d definitely stay here again.
