The price is reasonable, and the hotel is right in central Chanthaburi. The building's exterior looks nicely decorated and modern. A woman at the front desk was especially pleasant and service-minded. The second-floor rooms, #203 and #206, were disappointing. The paint was peeling from the walls, and the ceiling had unattractive stains. The front desk said renovation was underway from the third floor downward, so I hope the work is finished by my next visit. Breakfast was an ordinary set of fried egg, bread, and instant coffee.

The location was handy for downtown and the hospital, and there's a car park. They have a basic breakfast. The walls and doors are thin, though, and noisy guests woke us in the middle of the night, so we didn't sleep well. The air conditioning also kept switching on and off, adding to the noise.

It takes only 5-10 minutes to walk to the province's main park from here, and the hotel has its own lot with room for up to 16 cars. Our room was about 24 sq.m. including the bathroom and balcony. It came with two towels, shower gel, and shampoo. Breakfast was enough to get the day started: fried eggs in a small pan, toast, Thai deep-fried pastry called Pa-tong-ko, and hot drinks. We were lucky to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks from our balcony.

Breakfast, with fried eggs and unlimited coffee and bread, was included in the price, so it felt like a bargain. The room was clean, though old, with broken furniture, peeling paint, and bathroom stains. A good stay, but nothing special.
