Buraphat Resort

The bungalow was great. Restaurant service was okay, though I had to get the staff's attention.

A nice place to recharge, with fresh air and a mountain view. The winter mornings have a particularly lovely view. There are several kinds of rooms, both old-style and modern. Breakfast is buffet-style. It's quite far from town, so buy snacks before heading to the resort. For check-in, you have to ring the bell, as no staff are waiting in the lobby.

The green season worked out well, with dramatic clouds, soft green hills, and few people around. The views are stunning, and the atmosphere is lovely. Staff were friendly and breakfast was decent. I especially recommend the newer Camelia section, with access to the new pool, and rooms 201-203. Some parts of the resort are worn, though, and the wooden planks and other bits need replacing. Grass and leaves were being burned during our stay, but that affected only about an hour of the whole experience.

The room was huge, clean, and looked new, but the reception could use better direction signs. No staff member showed me to the room. The pool was small but looked okay. When I arrived, two children, apparently the staff's kids, were in the water wearing slippers. I don't mind them playing, but they should at least be told to wear proper swimwear and take their slippers off. There's no room service, and food and drinks are only served in the cafeteria. Overall, 3/5.
