AT Phra Sing Retro

Tivaporn and her husband Nikhon made my first solo trip feel special and safe, even though I was the only guest there during the off-season at the beginning of July. Before I booked, I had plenty of questions as a woman travelling alone for the first time, and Tivaporn patiently answered them. Once I confirmed, she put together a rough itinerary for my Chiang Mai stay and shared the details despite being busy. She was open to feedback, too. The room was clean and well maintained, with working AC, hot water, soap, shampoo, towels, and a hairdryer. There’s no lift, which wasn’t a problem for me since I packed light, but there were mosquitoes, so I was glad I’d brought insect repellent. Tivaporn and Nikhon gave me useful ideas for places to visit and checked in on me, which made the place feel homely. I found some hidden gem temples and went to Coconut market, which was the best market for shopping. Breakfast was Thai style and I loved it. It was included, and Tivaporn also arranged an early breakfast for me before my trip to Doi Inthanon. A lovely helper provided cleaning, and when I scraped my knee, her staff helped dress the wound. After checkout on my last day, Tivaporn kindly let me leave my luggage at the hotel while I explored the markets she’d suggested. I really want to thank her and her team. I’d highly recommend booking your accommodation through her if you’re visiting Chiang Mai, especially to explore the old city.

BB, the owner, was wonderful and gave me all kinds of tips for exploring the city and nearby area without trying to sell me anything, which felt almost unbelievable here. The guest house is in a quiet street inside the old quarter, and the room was clean. Internet was fast, and breakfast changed every day, which was a nice touch. A great place to stay!

I only stayed one night, but it was such a nice place that I could easily have stayed longer. Great location and lovely hosts.

Bibi's service and hotel are wonderful. She’s so friendly and always happy to help. Even though I was only there for a week, she changed the curtains so I could sleep better, and she kept my things for a month while I was away. The rooms are great for the price, and the lovely shared area has a bit of a family feel. I can’t recommend the place enough. Marketing isn’t Bibi's strongest point, so it has few reviews and a low ranking. That worked in my favor, since if it were better known, it would probably be full all the time. It’s a gem. I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to say thanks this way ;-)
