At Pingnakorn Riverside Hotel Chiangmai

The breakfast buffet was the best I've had at a hotel, with a generous range of authentic Northern Thai food alongside familiar Western basics like bacon and toast. The staff and manager were incredibly helpful and friendly, too. The hotel sits in a distinctive, relaxed spot by the Ping river, away from the busy tourist areas. Its architecture feels classy, while the atmosphere is quiet and laid-back. Highly recommended.

The location is peaceful, in a quieter part of town, and it was about a 10-minute taxi ride to the city center activities. Grab taxis were always close by when we wanted to head in, and there was a great massage place just a 3-minute walk away. We also spent a few hours at the pool, which was calm and relaxing. We stayed in family suite (suite 2). The room and the building in general were gorgeous, with a lovely big bathroom, kitchen area, and nicely sized bedrooms. The bed and bedding were so comfortable, the sort I'd like to have at home. The staff were friendly and sorted out our questions, even finding a sewing kit to fix a loose button. Breakfast was good, though as a vegetarian I rely on fruit and wished there had been more variety. It was the same selection each day: bananas, papaya, pineapple, and watermelon. We'd love to come back.

We had a beautiful, very clean room and a warm welcome, and breakfast was great. The staff were incredibly helpful. We accidentally left our baby stroller in the room, and they kindly sent it to us at the station. Thank you so much. ❤️🙏🏼 I loved Chiang Mai, and this hotel, too.

The patio and pool area were really cute and relaxing, and I loved the daily breakfast buffet. There was lots of variety, and the coffee station was delicious. We did have ants in the room, but the front desk sent someone right away to deal with them. They didn't return, so we were happy with how it was handled. The service was top notch, friendly, and attentive.
