Stay well away. This was a nightmare, and I’m really angry about it. The planes fly right overhead, and there was no Wi-Fi in my end room. I paid a 5000 deposit, then they billed me 6500. They said cleaning would happen twice a week, but came only twice in one month and still billed me for a dirty room. There was no water or clean towels. They also didn’t show up for checkout. When they finally did, the bill got bigger, then smaller, and then they said they had no cash. I ended up walking away and telling them to keep it. They don’t clean poop either. All around, a bad place. It’s a scam, guys, stay well away. If there were a no-star option, they’d deserve it. I hope this review saves people from a bad stay.

The airport noise is atrocious. I could still hear flights at 1 AM, and the hotel is very close to the airport. The service wasn’t good either. The staff didn’t understand English, whether I called the operator or spoke with them in person. When I called, they hung up and came to my room to ask what I needed, but still couldn’t understand. At 2 pm I went down to the front desk and nobody was there. I waited 15 minutes for someone to show up. There isn’t even air conditioning in the lobby, and the clerk turned on a huge fan when she returned. Despite the room information saying there was shuttle service twice daily, don’t expect a shuttle. Totally amazing service.

My house in Chiang Mai was a meter under flood water, so I booked somewhere nice hoping I could finally relax and feel safe. This wasn’t the place. I wanted to leave early. The hotel is well kept and looks nice, the pool is tranquil, the blackout curtains are great, and there’s a large, almost full-size fridge. It looks like a new hotel is being built and seems much more worth the high price, but we’ll see. For what they charge, I wouldn’t stay again or recommend it to friends or family coming to Chiang Mai. It might be nice enough at a budget price, but it’s not worth this much. You can’t walk anywhere without going along the highway, which feels dangerous. There’s no buggy to a local 7-11 or anywhere else, and no directions to a local mart. My room was only a few meters from another building, so they could see through my window and I could see through theirs. It seemed like many people lived there full time, which felt a bit strange. At these prices, hardly any locals or expats could afford to live there. The walls are very thin. I could hear people talking, phone alarms, and extremely loud planes, so loud you have to stop talking to hear anything. There’s little around besides several abandoned buildings. The washing machines had no powder, and you couldn’t buy it at the front desk. They told me to go to the mart, way out across and down the highway, which felt unsafe without transport. Google Maps shows a 7-11 quite close, so I don’t know why they didn’t mention it. It was the start of busy season, but the outside bar was still dusty and not set up at all. For this price, you can stay somewhere much nicer in a better location. I really hope their ‘new’ hotel is much more worth the price. For this building, no thank you.

The room was really hot, the shower drained very slowly, and the water came up to the toilet or even higher. There was no air conditioner remote at first, and the service phone in the room didn’t work. Although it’s close to the airport, the trip there was longer, and it was hard to find the place. Getting to the old city or the airport costs more too. I’ve stayed in several hotels, and this was the worst one I’ve been to. In my experience it’s a 2-star hotel at most, definitely not the 5-star place you might expect. The high price isn’t worth it, especially in Chiang Mai where there are lots of better choices. Trust me, don’t try it. Don’t come if you want to waste your money.
