Chankam Boutique Hotel

The kind, attentive staff made us feel so welcome. They even packed breakfast for us while we waited for transport to a day trip. You can order breakfast at the front desk the night before, and it’s served daily. My husband and I had an amazing stay at Chankam Boutique Hotel. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the place is beautifully decorated with charming details. Great restaurants and bars are within walking distance, and CNX airport is about 10 minutes away. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a unique, cozy, clean place to stay in Chiang Mai.

This was our second year staying here, and it’s such a peaceful, beautiful place. The soi has almost no traffic, while restaurants and bars are just a couple of minutes away. The hotel is in very good condition and the staff are wonderful. We arrived two hours before check-in, but our room was ready, and they greeted us with a welcome drink and cold towel before taking us up. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the room we booked has a great jacuzzi-style bath. The lobby is a lovely place to sit and relax, with a small indoor water feature. We were also invited down for a free glass of wine in the evening. The service feels very high end for a very reasonable price. Can’t rate it highly enough.

Breakfast was fresh and really delicious. You choose what you want and the time you’d like it, then order the night before. The owner and staff were all very friendly and helpful, with good excursion tips, and they helped us book a table at CHUM, which we recommend. The hotel is well cared for, with spacious, fully equipped rooms. It’s tucked into a quiet side street, yet very close to Chiang Mai’s Old Town centre. Wat Phra Singh is a tested five-minute walk away, and from there you can stroll into the Old Town. Wonderful hosts and a family-style feel with great service. 100% recommended!

The calm setting and welcome gift were especially appreciated after our last-minute booking following a small crisis. After walking in the sun with our luggage, the icy towels were a nice touch. Chankam Boutique is in a quiet, convenient part of the old town, and the retro decor features traditional Lana-style wooden furnishings. The room was nice apart from the bed, which made the night a nightmare. The mattress was unstable and bouncy, but not really soft. It sank under our weight, like an old mattress. My husband and I both kept waking up despite being exhausted. I had to balance on the edge to level my body and even took sleeping pills to get some rest. I woke with a sore neck, back, and shoulders.
