Green Sleep Hostel

I met some great people here and got to experience Chiang Mai with them. I wasn’t looking for a party hostel, but wanted to be social and meet other travelers, and this place was just right. There’s a communal area with a big breakfast table and couches, and the staff were incredible: friendly and sweet, with good recommendations. I especially loved chatting with Gate. Gate, I’ll miss you!!! The location is ideal, right by the Sunday night market and in the middle of old city. I stayed in the 10 bed mixed dorm, with great AC and fans running through the night that helped cover noise from other bunkmates coming and going. My bed was comfy and had its own light, outlet, shelf, and spacious locker. There were plenty of bathrooms and showers, with free soap and shampoo. The laundry room was super helpful too, at 30 baht for a wash and 60 baht for the dryer. It felt like home from the start, the perfect hostel. If I come back to Chiang Mai, I’ll stay here again :))

The location is the one downside. It’s right in the center of Chiang Mai, but most things to do are around the gates, so I ended up walking back and forth a fair bit. At most, it’s a 25 minute walk. The hostel had a great atmosphere, clean rooms, and AC that worked well. The amenities were nice too: restrooms, kitchen, laundry, breakfast, coffee and tea, plus activity fliers. The staff were some of the funniest and kindest I’ve met at a hostel. I’d definitely recommend staying here!

I spent almost a week here and wish I could have stayed longer. The hostel is very clean and right in the city centre, and I felt at home straight away because the staff are wonderful. The girls are polite, helpful, and have a great sense of humor. Khop khun khrap! Rak loei! Luca

I’m really grateful to the staff. After I’d checked out and got stranded, they went to a lot of trouble to help sort things out, and even followed up afterward. They were friendly, funny, and great at their jobs. One small tip: bring earplugs if you’re in dorm 555.
