The towels looked very old and not very hygienic, and the staff weren’t helpful. The room quality and internet were both poor, so I wouldn’t pick this place again. Also, if you stay in this area, be prepared for the noise of planes taking off and landing overhead.

It’s cheap and clean, the staff are friendly, and the location is good. Still, there are quite a few things to put up with. Since the hotel sits at the end of the Chiang Mai airport runway, the walls shake when planes take off. There aren’t many flights, and they provide free earplugs in every room, but it’s noisy when they do. A strong raw-sewage smell hits you at the entrance. In the room, there are only two sockets and they’re not where you need them. There’s no full-length mirror, and the bathroom mirror only shows you from the neck down. There’s nowhere to hang a towel, the bathroom plug doesn’t work, and the sink has no hot water. The TV is just an unwatchable snowstorm of Thai programs. But hey, beggars can’t be choosers!

Breakfast had a good mix of northern Thai dishes, other Thai food, and American-style options, served buffet style. They also welcomed guests with drinks and snacks when we arrived. The room was clean and well equipped, and shops and restaurants are an easy walk away. The staff were friendly, and I had a great stay.
