Icon Park Hotel Chiang Mai

We chose this hotel because it offered a room for three, with one king bed and one single. When we reported that the air conditioner was making noise, they fixed it right away. There’s a famous restaurant, Ban Khun Nine Kitchen, just behind the hotel, and you can get there through the back exit, which is really convenient. Breakfast was very good too.

The location in the old city was very handy, with several restaurants and street food nearby. Breakfast was Western-style, each dish made to order, and we enjoyed it. Thanks to the hard-working lady chef. The lobby also had free coffee and biscuits. We stayed a few days on vacation. It isn't luxurious, but the room was spacious, clean, and had the usual amenities. Staff efficiently handled our request for extra pillows, toothbrushes, and water.

The staff were nice, and the room was fairly pleasant and renovated. I wasn't as worried about the bathroom as other reviews had made me, though the shower does leak. The big problem for me was the Wi-Fi. It was absolutely awful, so I had to work and book onward tickets from a cafe, and use mobile data in the room. In 2025, an almost unusable connection was a really frustrating inconvenience. If you don't need internet, this place is a good deal. Otherwise, you may want to consider somewhere else.

The location was great, but we had several problems during our stay. There was quite a lot of mold in the shower when we arrived. The staff offered to clean it right away and did so as soon as I mentioned it. We were on the fourth floor, where the washer and dryer were extremely loud, loud enough to be concerning. Sometimes they ran them around 8:30 in the morning while we were still asleep. When we asked the staff to order a cab to the airport, they told us to book our own Grab. For two people in an XL king room, we had only two very thin pillows. The room wasn't cleaned well, and the sink was overflowing. Staff barely understood English, which made it very hard to communicate.
