Le Canal Boutique House

The staff were so caring, especially the housekeeping team. They refilled the bottled water in the fridge and noticed we didn’t drink it cold, so they thoughtfully left the new bottles on the table instead. Cleaning was excellent and attentive. The only small drawback was some noise, but the hotel even provides earplugs. The location worked well for us. Breakfast downstairs was delicious, with Western breakfast served faster. There are two 7-Eleven stores nearby and a small night market across the river with lots of food. It’s also easy to get to the Nimman area by songthaew. The room cost very little for what it offered, and the bathroom was roomier than we expected from the photos and reviews. It felt perfectly fine. Basic toiletries were provided, including shampoo, shower gel, soap, a shower cap, and body lotion. The TV had YouTube and local channels, and we had fun watching Thai dramas. There was a shoe cabinet under the TV, snacks on the vanity, and an electric kettle for coffee or tea. Best of all, the hair dryer was actually good, so long-haired girls can book with confidence. We had a very happy stay.

The staff were superb, always smiling, friendly, and ready to help. My room was spotless when I checked in, then cleaned and restocked daily with toiletries, coffee, and snacks. It was a little small, as expected, but quiet at night with hardly any road noise. There’s a sitting room and balcony where you can relax. Le Canal is a real boutique Hotel in a great spot on the north edge of the Old Town, an easy walk from anywhere. I stayed three nights for the Lantern Festival and would happily return on my next visit to Chiang Mai.

Le Canal Boutique House was a great place to stay, with spacious rooms and an ideal location. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the receptionist helped plan our time in Chiang Mai, making the trip extra special.

Temples, cafes, bars and a night market are all nearby, and the main parts of town are an easy walk away. Our room was clean, quiet and nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We appreciated the snacks and water too. A perfect Old Town stay in Chiang Mai, and I’d happily come back.
